The Reset set was created in collaboration with BcA. Tomáš Vrána, then a student of art and design in Ústí nad Labem. A graduate of the Faculty of Art and Design of the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, he realized in 2018 with the support of the manufacturer Český porcelán a.s.

He playfully named this set Reset. The set is intended especially for the young generation, who will appreciate not only the modern look, but also some useful properties such as stackability or multi-purpose. With this set, the author is the recipient of the 3rd Place Grand prix Mobitex 2019 award and the Good Student Design 2021 award.

Tomas Vrana

Tomáš Vrána, BcA., born on June 8, 1995 in Liberec, is a young and talented designer who currently works in Pilsen. After successfully completing his studies at the Faculty of Art and Design of the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Vrána quickly established himself in the design community with his project "Reset" in 2018.

This collection of cups and saucers, which features a modern design and was realized with the support of Český porcelán as, earned him prestigious recognition. His work was crowned with success when he won 3rd place at the Mobitex Grand Prix in 2019 and was subsequently awarded "Good Student Design" in 2021.

Czech porcelain from Dubí

The history of Czech porcelain begins in 1864, when Anton Tschinkel bought a building in Dubí. After the economic crisis in the 1880s, the company was taken over by a German company, which started producing the well-knownonion porcelain.

After World War II, the factory was nationalized and became part of various state-owned enterprises, until 1991, when it was privatized and became a joint-stock company. In 2009 there was a merger with Royal Dux, a manufacturer of figurative and decorative porcelain.

Český porcelán as organizes international symposia and cooperates with the Faculty of Art and Design. Today it is a recognized manufacturer, winner of awards and is considered one of the 100 best Czech companies. It ranks among the mere4 companies in the world, which follow the so-called underglaze technology in the production of the so-called "onion".

What is interesting about the project is that the curators choose brands and products carefully, and among more than 200 products you will only find truly honest Czech and original design.
